The Good Wood futon is a specially designed futon (mattress) dedicated to the Good Wood rocker.
It was created and made by Ania - the owner of the “Duch Japonii” (Spirit of Japan) brand - she and her team know best! Ania carefully thought through every detail to offer the perfect filling for our rocker. The mattress is thick and soft, and lying on it you get the impression as if you were lying on a cloud. It is sure to be loved not only by children but also by adults who would like to read a book or just rock on the rocker.
Futons adjust to the shape of the body and do not spring back, guaranteeing the best support for the spine and back. Natural materials used in the production of futons ensure air circulation and optimal body temperature. If you care about the health, environment, and proper development of your child- the futon is the perfect solution for you and your family. Our futon is filled with cotton, which is perfectly air-permeable and an all-natural material. The cotton used in our mattresses has the Cotton Trademark.
Why a futon and not an ordinary sponge?
Futon is a natural mattress, without springs or unnecessary artificial additives. Futons do not spring, because the compressed cotton adapts to the human body and supports the spine along its entire length. Original futons do not contain any harmful chemicals. They are ideal for those who care about the environment and, of course, their own health.
What is a futon made of?
The MONTESSORI futon is the most traditional version of the mattress. It consists of six layers of carded cotton, which conforms to the body, takes away pressure and gives maximum comfort during sleep. The natural materials used in the production of futons ensure air circulation and optimal body temperature. Our futon is filled with cotton with the Cotton Trademark. The cover is of thick cotton fabric with a weight of 250 g/m2. The quilting is protected by a felt pad in black. The futon is surrounded by black cotton trim. If you care about the health, environment and proper development of your child - a futon is the perfect solution for you and your family.
What are the dimensions of the futon?
The dimensions of our futon are 100x50x5cm, which perfectly corresponds to the size of the rocker, but the futon goes hand in hand not only with the rocker - but it also brilliantly decorates any interior. The combination of smooth fabric pattern and interesting texture is a perfect combination.
How else can I use a futon?
Of course, the futon can be an excellent accessory for a reading corner, a child's base, or a temporary armchair - it all depends on demand. It is truly versatile and very comfortable!
How to use futon mattresses?
• Roll in all directions. Mattresses made of natural materials, including cotton, can be kneaded.
Restoring the original shape and properties is very easy, as you just need to roll it in all
• Do not treat it with water. Futons are made of cotton fibres, so the mattress should not be allowed to get wet. So do not clean the mattress with water and do not wash it in a water or chemical bath.
• Turn over. From time to time, the futon should be turned inside out so that it keeps its shape and has a chance to air out. Do these every 3-4 weeks.
• Don't cover. If possible, leave the mattress uncovered during the day, so it will have the opportunity for better ventilation.
• CAUTION. Natural product, flammable!
Why did we choose to work with the Spirit of Japan team?
Why did we choose to work with the team from Spirit of Japan? Because, like them, we focus on the safety of our children. No one better than them, would have selected super quality materials caring also for the safety of our little ones. No one would have made these futons more carefully, putting their heart into it and drawing on their vast experience. After all, no one, better than the Spirit of Japan team, would have combined functionality, aesthetics, and design to create the perfect product. Plus, like Good Wood, it is a Polish product, made by hand.
